meet Sinéad

ayurveda consultant & yoga teacher

Ayurveda teaches you what your body and mind need to thrive.

Hi, welcome to The Veda Shala. I’m Sinéad and I’m delighted to meet you.

Yoga has been a part of my life from a very young age – though I’m no pretzel! – and it was yoga that led me to ayurveda, which changed my life.

I was overwhelmed, pushing myself too hard and under-energised trying to do it all (I would not advise you to take on a PhD and Ashtanga yoga teacher training at the same time!). Something had to give and it was very nearly me. I didn’t realise how much of an effect it all had on me until I came out the other side and made a promise to myself to never end up that overwhelmed and stressed again.

Ayurveda taught me how to truly take care of myself. Using the science of life, I rebuilt my health, energy and joy. All those years in academia and my career as a translator honed my research skills and sharpened by ability to make complex ideas clear and accessible. I use that experience to share Ayurveda in a way that’s practical, understandable and life-changing for you.
